======Ichor Savant===== ====Class Feature: Ichorwerk==== * Ichor Savants of the Imperial Commission undergo extensive training to be able to use Black Ichor effectively. * As a side effect of this process, Savants are forever changed, gaining the ability to produce tinctures and potions with remarkable qualities from their body. * These tinctures are extruded from the pores and collected in clay balls, which can be drunk from, thrown, or given to others to do the same. * This, too, is a kind of //ichorwerk//. * Starting level Commissioners begin with the ability to make 2 common ichorwerks per encounter. This is represented OC by starting each encounter with two yellow foam balls. * You do not have to determine what an ichorwerk is until you throw/drink/donate it. However, it must be of the correct type (Yellow - Common, White - Restricted, Black - Secret), and must be an ichorwerk you know how to make. * Ichorwerks expire at the end of the encounter in which they are produced. * Savants may learn how to produce different types of ichorwerk by taking the //Hybridize// skill. * Savants may train themselves to produce more Ichorwerk by taking the //Fecundity// skill. * You can view a full list of [[:ichorwerk|ichorwerks]] here. ====Class Feature: Mutation==== * Whenever Savants take the 'Fecundity' skill, they **must** take a mutation from the [[:mutations|following list]]. * Starting level Commissioners begin with one free mutation. * Mutations are viewed in Rastaban with great respect, and there is nothing grotesque or bad about possessing them. ====Class Feature: Affiliation==== * Starting level Ichor Savants gain the [[:general_skills#affiliate|Affiliate]] skill for the Imperial Commission for free. ====Class Feature: Black Ichor==== * Savants have unprecedented access to pure Black Ichor which they may take outside of the Commission in specially prepared obsidian containers. * Black Ichor is used to power some Ichor Savant abilities. These will always have a cost in Black Ichor listed above them (e.g. Dark Potential costs 1 Black Ichor.) * Abilities which do not have a cost listed do not require Black Ichor to use. * Savants can purchase Ichor at a cost of 1 favour per container. * Furthermore, Savants gain Black Ichor depending on their rank of Contacts skill with the Commission: * Affiliation: 2 Black Ichor / adventure * Respected: 5 Black Ichor / adventure * Influence: 9 Black Ichor / adventure * Even the specially prepared obsidian flasks cannot withstand the ravages of Ichor, however, and as such, Black Ichor becomes unusable by the end of any adventure is is taken out on. * Expended containers should be returned to the Commission for disposal. Dumping Black Ichor in any form is a High Crime. * Misplacing or allowing Ichor to be stolen is also a High Crime. * Selling or distributing Ichor taken from the Commission is Treason. ====Class Feature: Respected==== * Commissioners are particularly respected within Rastaban. As Forest Touched are treated as social pariahs, Commissioners are treated as social betters. * You can generally assume you are able to obtain entry to most clubs, events or social engagements. At least in the respectable parts of society. * If you commit crimes the judgement is more likely to swing in your favour. Standard practise in cases where a commissioner is found guilty is to pass the judgement onto the Commission for them to dole out an appropriate punishment - unless the faction is irate enough to risk the Commission's wrath by taking things into their own hands. * These facts combined mean that commissioners tend to get off quite lightly for most infractions unless they commit crimes against the Commission or against the Commission's interests. =====Skills===== ====Lv1==== ===Scent of Ichor=== * You can identify black ichor by smell, and pinpoint any large sources nearby. * You can recognise concealed Commissioners and ichorwerks. ===Hybridize (Common)=== * Your body can produce 3 types of common ichorwerk. * Choose 3 from the [[:ichorwerk#Common_Ichorwerk_(Yellow)|ichorwerk list]]. ===Fecundity (Common)== * Your body can produce 1 additional common ichorwerk per encounter. * OC, this is represented by a yellow foam ball. * You **must** take a mutation from the [[:mutations|following list]]. ===Bliss=== * Once per encounter, you may call RESIST to a call delivered by ichorwerk. ===Rupture=== * Extensive damage to your body causes a pool of deadly sludge to seep out into the surrounding area. * When you are bleeding out or dead: * You must call STAGGER 5 to anyone who takes a STAGGER within 5m of your corpse. * This ability cannot trigger itself, or stack with another use of Rupture. ===Inspiration=== * You may crunch any 2 ichorwerks of one class into a different ichorwerk of the same class, even if you do not know how to make it yet. ===Dark Potential=== //1 Black Ichor// * When you purchase this skill, pick one inorganic substance you have studied. This attribute must derive from a substance you have studied. * The local area will change to have this attribute, and one other attribute chosen by the GM. * You may use this ability in combat, call a TIME FREEZE and consult a GM. * Use of this ability in Rastaban whilst not in the Wastes is High Treason.
