  • A number of three-eyed, Outsider-created semi-humans formed during the events of the Mirror crisis. Not technically allowed to be walking the streets, but there are far too many of them to round up.

  • A talented Perfection Weaver, notable in that he has not made any alterations to his appearance. Has an interest in planar combination experiments.

  • An Erosion Weaver and former scholar of the Circle of the Enlightened Mind. Ex-research partner of Paige, and suspected to be the cause of her Forest conversion. Last seen fleeing a gathering at Paige's home after being accused of this.

  • Known to most as an affluent Connection Weaver and scholar - only those close to her know that she is Forest-Touched. Holds an interest in the relationship between Connection and the Forest.

Maskmaker Seven, Face of the Threshold

  • A mysterious figure who speaks for the shadowy organisation known as Threshold. Has recently bankrolled several expeditions to recover tools and sources of power deemed too dangerous by the Bureaucracy, and is involved in a lot of planar or Outsider-related heists and thefts perpetrated by Great House Keelen.

Unit 11

  • A pair of malign awakened scissors in the possession of Threshold. Aggressively megalomaniacal and able to possess any who wield them.

Commissioner Arzu (They/Them)

  • Commissioner who recently passed their 1st Substance Exam. Their chosen material was Malachite.

  • Master Commissioner responsible for recruitment and public relations. Her mutations make her appear as a large spider, with many legs and the ability to spray Ichor from her thorax.

  • Very smiley, elasticated Commissioner, with responsibility for current active experimentation into Black Ichor and the “EVICT” chamber.

  • Commissioner who has been working under Alexis Telemova. Her chosen material is Iron.

  • Commissioner with intermittent hearing difficulties. She specialises in crystal, and has a tendency to get very absorbed in her work (metaphorically speaking).

The Seeker, Reborn (It/Its)

  • The long-dead Elder God that became the Plane of Perfection, now restored to life through the intervention of the Denizen paragon and Strategos Sofia, the latter of whom became part of the deity. What now motivates this strange and terrifying entity is currently unknown.

The Inheritors

  • The Perfection Elder race, whose most notable member called itself the God-Emperor of Rastaban. Triple-jointed, metallic entities with a major superiority complex, who are completely unkillable except through exceptionally strong Erosion effects. Given their tendency to do awful things, many can be found sealed in prisons around the world

Domitia the Undying (She/Her)

  • An Inheritor committed to the resistance of change in all its forms, now loose in the world, alongside a small platoon of exceptionally deadly primal humans, somewhere between Rastaban and the Unbroken Chain.

Glory (It/Its) (ABSORBED)

  • A monumentally powerful denizen that resembles a seemingly boundless sea of rippling mercury. Usually too large in scale to notice humans - which is most definitely a good thing. Absorbed into the reborn Seeker.

Setra (They/Them)

  • The half-remembered consciousness of a master shaper, preserved high up in the Tower.

Order (He/Him)

  • Large golden sphinx. Warden of a planar prison.

Law (They/Them)

  • An androgynous figure with a blank metallic mask. A tireless agent, coolly courteous but believing absolutely in the right of law.

The Plane of Erosion

'Autumn' (She/Her)

  • An erosion denizen of quite some power, interfering in the surface world for unknown reasons.

Keeper Ajrail (They/Them)

  • An erosion denizen affiliated with Autumn. Keen to bring movement and life to the static and dead Rastaban - because, of course, movement and life lead inexorably to rot and decay.

Vashti, the Hour of Death (She/Her or They/Them)

  • A powerful, skeletal denizen dressed in rags. She has little interest in the Mundane Plane. Was, for a time, bound in a box by a Plane Binder from the Unbroken Chain but has now been freed.

Assembly/Disassembly (They/Them, plural and singular)

  • A strange denizen which likes to fragment into pieces. When fully fragmented, they have no consciousness but when the pieces are brought together, their intelligence grows. In this way, it's possible to make a friend in Erosion.

The Great Sunfish (She/Her)

  • An immense, majestic leviathan of the deep Erosion seas. Though few have ever seen her, she appears friendly and particularly fond of pink marimos.

The End (They/Them)

  • Taking the form of a child this entity frequently travels to the mortal world to savour the deaths of the mighty. The attention of The End inhibits spiritual healing and to attack it is to subject oneself to the pressures of the abyssal depths. It appears to have a particular dislike for those who have 'cheated' death.

Want (It/Its)

  • A colossal benthic leviathan, always accompanied by a seemingly endless horde of underwater locusts. Object of worship for a small but growing cult in Rom.

The Plane of Conflict

The Lord of Fire and Tremors (He/Him/They/Them/She/Her/MY MOST INCOMPARABLE MASTER)

  • A burning skeletal figure, master of fire and general of the legions of the flaming damned. Leader of the Court of Strife and the Court of Challenge.

The Lord of Ice (They/Them)

  • A cold hard figure, master of ice and the tricksy courtiers of the Court of Discord.

The Lady of Storms (She/Her/They/Them)

  • A whirling vortex of crackling storms, leader of the Court of Supremacy, devotee to the patron Supremacy.

The Liege of Shadows (They/Them)

  • Ex-Kismesis of the Lord of Fire, Liege of the Court of Darkness. Blinded their court in a fit of rage and hasn't recovered them since.

The Forge of Champions

  • An awakened building made out of ice and a behemoth skull. Its purposes is to turn humans into the ultimate killing machines. It only answers to the Dreamers. Finds the existence of awakened humans extremely vexing as their purpose is confused and they can't be properly shaped. Currently has thousands of incredibly deadly primal humans on ice.

The Contenders

  • Members of the Conflict planar race. There are but a few of them now and they are attempting to break through the barrier and join the rest of their people in the Eternal War

Supremacy, Once Forgotten, Now Reborn

  • A huge humanoid being seemingly made out of white-hot plasma, once ruler of the territory now held by the Courts of Strife and Discord. The Fourth planar Tetrarch.

The Plane of Connection

Greed

  • A powerful creature that feasts on Avarice and concocts deals to its benefit

Experimentation

  • A buglike creature with a fixation on learning and curiosity. Communicates through faceless, puppet-like avatars which function as research assistants in the enormous laboratory complex that makes up its form.

  • A group of primal humans implanted with Outsider shards for use as weapons of war, giving them a dark and starlit appearance. After adventurers threw a spanner in the works of their plan to claim Rastaban as recompense for their treatment during the Eternal War, their city is known to have entered the material plane. Where exactly it has entered is currently unknown.

Unit Omega, the Ascender (It/its)

  • An awakened human with the purpose of awakening things at the expense of disrupting the fabric of reality.

Steadfast, The Unbroken (???)

  • A draconic monster supposedly created by the Survivor eons ago. It appears to have been used to defend the world from Outsiders, and sustained horrible wounds in the process of its long fight. All Outsider corruption has now been healed, and what the creature will do with its newfound freedom is unclear. Not necessarily hostile to humans.

The Gateway

  • An important military commander in the Empire of Rastaban. Charged with leading the armies north against Fool's Landing and the Unbroken Chain.
  • Voluntarily stepped down from this post shortly after the events of The Empire Strikes Back, believing himself to have been compromised by unknown forces. His replacement will certainly not be the brilliant strategist and tactician he was, but their identity is currently not widely known.

  • A newborn creation of Alos Frond and the Magos, using the body of Grand Commissioner Nikolai, she has butterflies swirling across her skin and eyes that swirl and change colour every second. She seems capable of metamorphosis into butterflies, but also seems to have a connection to Katya Rastova.
